REFERRALS
Private Referrals
A referral from a GP or any other health care specialist is not required to engage with a Psychologist. You can refer yourself by booking online or emailing InsideOut Health Co. Private Psychology services (attending without a Mental Health Care Plan) do not attract a rebate under Medicare and the full standard consultation fee is payable.
Better Access Initiative: Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)
To be eligible for a partial fee rebate through the Medicare Better Access scheme under a Mental Health Care Plan, you will require a referral from a General Practitioner (GP) or Psychiatrist. A MHCP allows you to receive a rebate of $96.65 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
The referring practitioner should provide you with:
(a) a referral letter addressed to Nonorta Housbey or InsideOut Health Co; and
(b) a copy of the Mental Health Care Plan.

Private Health Fund
If you do not have a Mental Health Care Plan, you may be able to claim rebates through your Private Health Fund. Please check with your health fund. ​
CONSULTATIONS
​​Consultation Fees & Cancellations
The full consultation fee of $200.00 is required to be paid at the time of booking, or via direct deposit at least 24 hours prior to your session. An invoice will be emailed to you two days before your session if you are paying via direct debit. As per InsideOut Health Co policy, if payment is not received, your session will be cancelled.

With a valid Mental Health Care Plan, a 50-minute consultation fee is $200.00. The Medicare rebate is $96.65 (this amount increases annually in July). This equates to an out-of-pocket cost of $103.35. Following payment and session attendance, the invoice will be emailed to you so you can claim your rebate. The Medicare rebate is deposited into your nominated bank account by Medicare within 24-48 hours.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we require at least 48 business hours notice. Cancellations with 24-48 business hour notice will incur half the session fee ($100). Cancellations with less than 24 business hours will incur the full fee ($200). Similarly, if you do not attend the session the full fee charge will remain. This fee is not claimable through Medicare or private health.
InsideOut Health Co does not offer bulk billing.
Please note: The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommended 46 to 60-minute consultation fee is $311.00.
